Updated its members on human rights abuses occuring in Darfur and encouraged them to take action throught the UU Service Committee Website.
Organized a campaign to educate the public regarding Proposal 2, the anti-affirmative action ballot proposal. Prop 2 was defeated in all cities where our UU Network had a presence.
Organized a petition drive to oppose legislation that would outlaw gay marriage in Michigan. The bill was defeated.
Urged repeal of the Military Commissions Act of 2006 that would legitimizes the use of torture by U.S. agents.
